Ø 7:00 am - Grads arrival for preparation for ceremonies – go to Library for your cap and gown
Ø 8:00 am (sharp)-class picture
Ø 9:00 am - Grad Ceremonies begin @ THSS in the gym
Ø 5:30 pm- Dinner/Dance “Elegance” begins @ Meadow Gardens
Ø Grads must have a Guest permission form signed if they are bringing a guest (attached)
Ø **5:30 – 6:20pm Parents’ Hour for pictures, visiting
Ø 6:20 – 7:00 Buffet Set-up
Ø 7:00 pm- Dinner
Ø 8:00 pm- Grad Dance
Ø 11:00pm- 12:00pm Clean up Decorations from Dinner/Dance *Volunteers needed - please arrive at 10:45pm.”
Ø 11:30 pm - Dry Grad begins @ THSS
Ø Grads must have a waiver form signed for riding the mechanical bull (attached)
Ø 12:00 pm- Doors close for Dry Grad
Ø Dry Grad goes until approximately 5am…Grads will require a “Safe Ride Home” form….that informs us of how they are getting home safely.
Grad Fees:
Ø $50- Grad Fees for ceremony
Ø $60- Dinner/Dance (per person) add an additional $60 for guest
Ø $20- Dry Grad (per person) add an additional $20 for guest
Ø Last day for dinner-dance ticket purchases is May 11
Information you need to know:
Ø *Make cheques payable to “Thomas Haney Secondary School” and give to Mrs. Shamro in the office*
Ø *Grads are required to fill out a guest permission form for all guests and also a safe ride home form; please have ALL permission forms to Mr. Nosek before June 1st so that he can approve your guest in time for the dinner/dance*
Ø Each grad may have 4 tickets for the ceremonies as space is limited.
Ø *All school rules apply and guests should be reminded that this is a high school function*
Ø *No Confetti*
*Please advise all limo drivers that they must drop off and pick up quickly to prevent backlog on Meadow Gardens’ roadways!*
*Grads and their guests must stay off the fairways of the golf course*
2012 Dry Grad Info
Date: Friday June 8 – Saturday, June 9
Time: 11:30pm – 5:00am
Place: THSS (Enter at the gym doors by the music room)
Cost for students: $20. Fees are due no later than May 11th to the office!!!
Once you enter, everything is free!
Guests: 1 guest allowed. Cost $20. Must have a Guest Permission form approved by administration. Forms are available from the office, and in this package.
Events from 11:30 – 3:00
- Mechanical Bull & Mechanical Surfer (Must have a signed waiver form. Pick one up from the office, get it signed and return to the office ASAP or bring it to the event. If you do not have a signed waiver form, you DO NOT ride the bull or the surf board)
- Karaoke
- Gambling (Grads will receive “grad bucks” when they arrive)
- Sumo Wrestling
- Bungee Run / Bungee Basketball
- Jousting Arena
- Giant Twister
- Tattoos
- Magician
- Caricaturist
- Foosball & Air hockey
- Food (Pizza, Chips, Ice cream, Pop, Cappuccino, etc)
- Tons of prizes to be given away
Event from 3:30 – 4:30

Event from 4:30 – 5:00

Are you the parents of a grade 10 or 12 student here at Thomas Haney Secondary? If this is the case, we invite you to participate in a satisfaction survey to provide us with valued feedback. During the week of February 20th – 24th a take-home letter will be distributed in TA to your son or daughter.
